Oh wow! Every word you wrote has been exactly what’s been on my mind for the past two months. Except I’m not a philosopher-just a simple person with strong interest in creativity and zero interest in being liked in social media.
Yeah! As one that love the endless experiment that life as love itself offers, it does resonate. It sounds as your recalibration is on point. Keep going 💫🌀💛
Great passage you are more of yourself now. Life in the moment is never time lost, for life makes us jump ahead when we knew no better. Time is better spent realizing the opportunity, not the cost.
Julian, I have respected you and enjoyed your posts so much! Here is what I’ve found important. Choose to make a plan every day to connect with friends in person for laughter and conversation. It is an irreplaceable feeling to stay connected in this authentic way. Then you can pivot to your teaching online. What has always impressed me about you is your authenticity. You are open about your thoughts. You are someone who endlessly seeks experiences and knowledge!
Both you and Jennaline are treasures. It seems like there is a quote, poem, or book called “Get Out of That Rut”. You are just in a trough of exhaustion and need to break free.
Wishing you a fresh start and just know most biographies of great minds include episodes of what you have described. It is not unusual. It’s just time to climb again! Reclaim your enthusiasm with new energy!
Yes to this! I was just telling my friends last week that this year is the year of trying new random things. So far I've gone fat biking in the snow (liked it), tried boxing (super fun), bagel making (yummy), discovered many random restaurants (fun) and just landed in Bangkok (surprise discoveries to come) :)
This so resonates. I think something about "the lock down " gave many of us the grace and the space to imagine and reshape the way we move through the world. ❤️😊🤔
thank you, I am living through a very similar experience to what you've described. I'm hoping to reconnect with the world in a way that is true to myself, and taking up writing as a part of that process. Isolation and comfort are deceitful, in that they draw you in and then swallow you whole. I hope to work my way out of this and I am glad to have your work as an inspiration.

You are so right. Just watched a film (Becoming Jane) and it revived some spirit, half-invalid that I am. Good to be alive.
